liminal channels w/ thao
Liminal channels is a montage of radio-essay, conversation, and selected sounds, engaging with the topics of global sonic entanglements and its manifestations in Berlin. Curious about the submerged streamlines of resistance, the radio-essays will cover topics such as the history of (colonial) radio in Saigon, travel-ways of pirated diasporic music-show video cassettes, or translocal genre-reprocessing in home studios that are distributed and re-sampled via the internet, and beyond.
Through conversations, Thao is also keen to dig deeper into the fabrics of the city with her guests: music collectives, activists, artists, dancers, friends, workers, storytellers, researchers, archivists, writers, and other game-changers, asking the question: Where are we at, and where can we go?
Tune in for a slow-ride of thoughts, sounds, and rabbit hole dwellings.
